Kelly Macdonald (b. 23 February, 1976) is a Scottish actress, born within Glasgow, Scotland. Her career began whenever she saw a leaflet advertising an open casting session for what would get the picture show Trainspotting, in which she played a a portion of Diane, a minor seductress to Ewan McGregor's Renton. More roles include the reporter in ''The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Peter Pan in Finding Neverland.
In televison, her highest-profile roles keep around been around both BBC dramas, the Paul Abbott serial State of Play (2003) and a a single-off Richard Curtis piece The Girl in the Café'' (2005). Each one were directed by David Yates, and two besides starred Bill Nighy.
Around August 2003 she married Travis' bass player Dougie Payne.
